Consul General Mustafa Ünal assumed his duty as the Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Jeddah on 31^st August 2023.

Ünal joined theforeign service of the Republic ofTürkiyein 1992. He has previously held various ranks and titles at the Ministry in the Department ofArchive and Transportation,theDepartment ofHuman Resources,theDeputy Directorate General forInternational Political Organizations and the Deputy Directorate General forRelations with Iraq.

He has also previously held various ranks and titles while he was posted overseas attheEmbassyof the Republic ofTürkiyeinManama,theEmbassyof the Republic ofTürkiyeinLondon,theEmbassyof the Republic ofTürkiyeinDublin, the General Consulate of the Republic ofTürkiyein Hong Kong, theEmbassyof the Republic ofTürkiyein Nepidoandthe General Consulate of the Republic ofTürkiyeinRotterdam.

Hewas born in 1966 in Konya andhas a Bachelor’s degreein Physicsfrom theMiddle East Technical University.

He is married and has three children.

He speaks fluent English.
